Vector and OPTENDA Collaborate for Cost-Efficient Energy Management

vCharM provides the Energy Monitor with meter readings from the charging points at 15-minute intervals. This means that – in addition to general energy, building, and operational data – energy data from charging stations can now also be evaluated in detail within the Energy Monitor, without requiring extra measurement technology. The data collected at Vector sites is used to assess the impact of charging infrastructure on overall energy consumption and to derive initial measures for reducing load peaks. This increases operational transparency and ensures compliance with the international energy management standard DIN EN ISO 50001.

Typically, identifying potential energy savings requires additional measuring devices, which come with installation and maintenance costs. By using the metering data already recorded in vCharM, these costs are eliminated. Companies can now analyze their charging infrastructure alongside conventional energy consumers in the Energy Monitor, unlocking new savings potential. Combined with vCharM functions such as peak shaving and cost-optimized charging, this approach enables reductions in grid fees and overall energy costs.
