CANoe

Development and Test Tool for SIL/HIL Projects

Welcome to CANoe, the versatile software solution for the development, simulation, analysis and test of individual software components or subsystems as well as electronic control units (ECUs) and entire distributed networks.

Whenever you are dealing with distributed systems – whether in the automotive industry or related industries, medical technology, avionic or in the industrial sector – CANoe products are reliable throughout the entire development process – from planning to system testing.

This applies to Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) in virtual execution environments on the computer, in virtual machines or in the cloud as well as Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) on prototype hardware or real target hardware.

Advantages

CANoe provides tools for developing and testing distributed embedded systems across a wide range of industries.
Its extensive functionality and configuration capabilities are highly valued by users worldwide.

  • One universal tool for all development and test tasks – whether in a SIL or HIL context
  • Easy automated testing with consistently reusable test runs in all development phases
  • Simulation of error situations early in the development process to easily identify and correct problems
  • User-friendly graphical and text-based evaluation of results
  • Independency from hardware and other software components – ideal for CI/CT environments right from project start
  • Comprehensive ways for simulating and testing special applications such as automotive ECU diagnostics

CANoe Is Certified for Safety Projects

Reduced Tool Qualification Effort When Developing Safety-Related Systems in the Automotive, Medtech and Railway Industries

Reduced Tool Qualification Effort When Developing Safety-Related Systems in the Automotive, Medtech and Railway Industries

Vector has received safety certification for its CANoe platform from TÜV SÜD. Thus, an independently tested tool for the development and testing of safety-related systems is now available. The certificate confirms that CANoe is qualified for use in development processes in accordance with IEC 61508, ISO 26262 (Automotive), IEC 62304 (MedTech), and EN 50716 (Railway). Users benefit from reduced effort for tool qualification evidence and audit preparation, greater investment security, and a reliable basis for tool-related safety assurance.

Application Areas

Every development task comes with its own set of challenges. The strengths of CANoe products are the wide range of application areas, which are tailored to the users needs and requirements. See for yourself.

  • Are you working at a test station or in a CI/CT environment?
  • Do you only use a single bus system or a large number of different systems?
  • Or do you only run pre-built configurations?

CANoe products are based on a modular concept with editions, variants and options. They all can be flexibly customized to your requirements and needs.

Simply put together the right product configuration for you!

Key Features

Extended Real Time

free-of-charge

The Extended Real Time (ERT) supports you in simulations with very high realtime requirements - so that you can reach your goal as demanded.

Interfaces, APIs and Tool Integrations

free-of-charge

Many interfaces and tool coupling options for special tools in complex, heterogenous tool environments.

OEM-Specific Extensions

free-of-charge

These simulation extensions are composed of several components. The components are typically based on a standard and are extended with OEM specific add-ons.

Simulate And Test SDC Participants | NEW

Service-oriented Device Connectivity (SDC) is the standard for interoperability in modern medical environments. With the new SDC add-on, you can easily simulate and test SDC participants as well as distributed SDC use cases and SDC applications.

Software-in-the-Loop

CANoe supports the development, testing, and analysis of software in cyber-physical systems, including individual components and entire systems. It offers virtual execution environments for Windows and Linux, running on computers, VMs, or Docker containers in the cloud.

Testing of Security-Protected ECUs and Networks

Our 'Security Manager' offers testing services for automotive ECUs despite security protection. It is the link between CANoe and further Vector tools and the OEM-specific security implementation. With it, security functions can be used uniformly in the tools.
