MICROSAR IO supports the implementation of lean ECUs with a minimal software footprint, suited for resource-constrained microcontrollers. This allows you to develop COTS-compliant ECUs independent of OEM-specific stacks, reducing time to market and opening up additional commercialization options.

Zonal architectures require flexibility and long-term viability. MICROSAR Classic supports microcontroller-based zonal ECUs, maintaining established compliance and enabling continuity for existing designs. For microprocessor-based approaches, MICROSAR Adaptive enables scalable integration aligned with relevant standards. To manage the growing complexity of in-vehicle networks, MICROSAR Gateway is currently being developed for efficient and secure routing. Security is implemented across the platform, either through software in Classic and Adaptive or through HSM firmware for hardware-based protection.
