Quality Management at Vector
Excellence is not a promise – it's our standard. We implement your requirements with precision, continuously improve our products, and deliver projects on time and on budget. To support that, we offer qualified training and strong product support.
The Vector Process Management System (VPMS) is our global foundation for this. The same processes apply at every location worldwide – accessible from any workstation. That's how we develop globally: with clear interfaces and zero friction.
Our Certifications
External organizations audit and confirm our quality – regularly and independently.
Since 2017, Vector has held recognition as an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) by the German customs authorities. This demonstrates full compliance with the standards of the World Customs Organization (WCO) and EU Regulation (EC) 648/2005. Our international customers benefit directly: fast, reliable deliveries – enabled by streamlined, trust-based customs procedures.
For the development of the AUTOSAR basic software, Vector addresses diverse customer requirements while maximizing the reuse of software components. The product line approach simultaneously incorporates requirements from all customers, with a clear focus on functionality and quality. This process is constantly being developed and improved systematically.
Specific strengths of the development process are:
- High degree of standardization and automation by optimized tool support
- Universal tool support in engineering processes (ENG)
- Clearly defined responsibilities and agile process elements which enable quick reactions to changes in requirements
- Clear assignment of responsibilities to defined roles
- Continuous improvement of processes and related tool support
The processes applied in the development of AUTOSAR basic software are aligned with Automotive SPICE® (ASPICE) and are subject to Assessments on a regular basis.
The result of these assessments verifies the high process quality which is also reflected in the results of ISO 26262 safety assessments.
Vector has established a certified Cybersecurity Management System (following ISO/PAS 5112). Moreover, ISO/SAE 21434 certification has officially been granted to the embedded software products MICROSAR HSM and MICROSAR Classic. This certification demonstrates Vector's commitment to providing cybersecurity solutions that meet the highest international standards.
ISO 26262 is the international standard automotive manufacturers require for the development of safety-related electrical and electronic systems in vehicles. The standard defines a structured process model covering activities, work products, and applicable methods.
MICROSAR Safe – Vector's safety-relevant AUTOSAR basic software – is developed in full compliance with ISO 26262, qualified for use up to ASIL D. This has been confirmed by independent institutes. IPREEvision – Vector's tool for model-based E/E development – enables the design of safety-relevant architectures fully aligned with ISO 26262.
