Physical Models for Vehicle and Driver in CANoe

The CANoe Model Option Vehicle and Driver extends CANoe with ready-to-use models of vehicles, vehicle components and a driver for SIL and HIL tests.

The simulation models provide plausible and consistent input signals to your ECU and process their actuator control outputs to compute the vehicle's state response: Enabling open-loop and closed-loop tests for a wide range of functions in an easy-to-use way.

Example Traction Motor

  • Closed-loop test of an electric traction motor under realistic load conditions
  • The driver model sets the requested torque as an input signal to the traction motor based on the selected scenario, e.g. driving cycles
  • The vehicle model receives the actual motor torque and eventually calculates the motor speed
  • The motor speed is transmitted to the test bench, which controls the speed accordingly

The CANoe Model Option Vehicle and Driver is exported from the virtual test driving software DYNA4.

For more advanced use cases, use DYNA4 to flexibly extend the CANoe Model Option:
