Interface for ARINC 429

The VN0601 is a powerful interface for ARINC 429 bus systems.
It supports test and analysis tasks in avionics development and additionally enables acquisition of further measurement signals via integrated analog and digital IO.

Highlights

  • Multi‑channel ARINC 429 access: Four ARINC 429 TX and four ARINC 429 RX channels support high‑speed and low‑speed communication. 
  • Precise time base: High‑resolution time stamps and synchronization with other devices and bus systems enable accurate timing analysis. 
  • Integrated IO acquisition: Analog and digital inputs and outputs allow additional signal acquisition and control. 
  • Open and flexible test architecture: The reloadable FPGA hardware architecture and the open XL Driver Library enable integration of custom and third‑party applications.
  • Rugged design: Electrically isolated connections and a very rugged housing support operation in demanding environments.

  • Variable channel‑specific settings 
  • Bit rates: 
    • RX: 10 – 120 kBit/s (automatic bit‑rate detection mode available)
    • TX: 10.5 – 16 kBit/s (low‑speed), 90 – 110 kBit/s (high‑speed)
  • Parity check and parity generation in hardware (odd, even, none) 
  • Minimum gap between ARINC words
  • Message‑specific settings for parity and gap 
  • Detailed error signaling (e.g. bit rate, duty cycle, parity, TX gap) 
  • Evaluation of TX errors via feedback channel 
  • Separate hardware scheduler per TX channel for cyclic transmission of ARINC words 
  • Statistical functions for bus analysis 
  • Analysis and generation of complex communication with CANoe.A429
