The VN5614 is a compact and powerful interface for analysis and simulation of up to two separate automotive Ethernet 10BASE-T1S bus lines. For each port, it provides a flexible multidrop segment, making it convenient to connect multiple simulated Ethernet nodes to the bus lines. The interface can be connected and powered via the fixed 1 m USB-C cable.
Highlights
- Compact 10BASE‑T1S interface: Handy two‑port interface ideally suited for portable use.
- Flexible multidrop access: Multiple simulated Ethernet nodes can be connected per bus line.
- Realistic bus simulation: Supports accurate representation of real 10BASE‑T1S bus behavior.
- Physical‑layer insights: Reporting of beacon messages and statistical events provides diagnostic information at PHY level.
Main Application Areas

Bus Simulation
Multidrop segments allow flexible setup of remaining‑bus simulations using CANoe Option Ethernet. Each participant is granted its actual transmission opportunity in every cycle.

Ethernet Monitoring
The 10BASE‑T1S bus lines can be monitored transparently. The number of nodes and node IDs remains unchanged.

Reporting of PLCA Events
Beacon messages and statistical events provide valuable insight into the physical layer. In addition, CANoe displays invalid Ethernet packets and error information.

Open Alliance TC10 / TC14
The VN5614 supports Open Alliance TC10 and TC14 events. This includes Sleep and Wake‑Up requests.
