Measurement, Calibration & Data Analysis
Using measurement, calibration, and diagnostic data, you can evaluate system behavior under real-world conditions. The challenge here is to collect and analyze large volumes of data from various sources in a synchronized manner and integrate it into a continuous development process. Scalable and flexible solutions enable efficient workflows and help manage the increasing complexity of modern vehicle systems.
Measurement
Measurement data is used to objectively analyze real conditions and physical correlations. In addition to internal ECU data, all environmental data can be acquired, including bus and physical values as well as ADAS sensors. Conditions vary depending on the development phase – from laboratory and test bench to road testing – and the requirements for measurement technology vary accordingly.
Calibration
Based on insights derived from measurement data, calibrations are performed to precisely adjust functions within the control unit and specifically optimize its characteristics. By accessing internal ECU data, efficient adjustments can be made during runtime. And since calibration is a team effort, the solution scales from single-user setups to global team
Analysis
It is only through analysis that data gains context, allowing correlations and dependencies to be identified or verified. The goal is to make reliable decisions based on accurate measurement data. Evaluation ranges from rule-based analysis to anomaly detection using AI.
Analyzing Bus Communication
Analyzing communication within vehicle networks is essential for understanding and diagnosing interactions between control units. Therefore, bus systems must be recorded, visualized, and analyzed in real time to identify the causes of faults and verify the interaction of distributed functions. Communication behavior can be systematically evaluated under varying conditions and within the overall system context, even if individual network nodes are missing or faulty.
