VH5110A

Easy Analysis of CCS Charging Communication

With VH5110A – also called "CCS Listener" – you analyze the communication between a charging station (EVSE) and an electric vehicle (EV) based on CCS (IEC 61851, DIN 70121, ISO 15118) and NACS standards.

VH5110A "listens" to the data communicated on the Control Pilot Line (CP) via Powerline Communication (PLC) and converts it into Ethernet packets that CANoe interprets. In addition, CANoe displays the PWM parameters of the basic communication as system variables.

Advantages

  • Compact form factor for optimum use directly on the electric vehicle or the charging station
  • Easy handling without complex man-in-the-middle set-up
  • Neutral behavior, therefore no influence on communication

Application Areas

Use VH5110A to listen to CCS communication between an electric vehicle and a charging station without influencing the communication:

  • in the vehicle for testing during ECU integration
  • in the field, when analyzing interoperability problems or interrupted charging
  • in the test vehicle for continuous recording of the charging processes in connection with a data logger

Connect VH5110A either to the Vector analysis software CANoe for short-term analysis or to a data logger for continuous recording of the charging processes.
