CANape Kernel

Measurement Core for x64 and ARM64-based Platforms

CANape Kernel is a compact, self-sufficient measurement and logging kernel for powerful, automated data logging applications. It offers fast start-up times and a lightweight configuration. CANape Kernel is compatible with a range of hardware: from high-end industrial PCs to the Raspberry Pi. This enables flexible setups for automotive networks, ADAS sensors, and SDV-typical and manufacturer-specific protocols.

Highlights

  • Flexible integration: Easily integrates into third-party environments and open systems.
  • High data rate: Optimized for RADAR, LIDAR, and raw video recording.
  • Comprehensive protocol and sensor support: Compatible with XCP as well as CAN, CAN FD, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet via the CMP protocol; optionally expandable to include ADAS sensors.
  • Data handling: Data is stored in the MDF and BLF format. The Smart Logger API (SL-API) forwards selected signals for further processing and visualization.
  • Multi-recorder concept: Enables flexible recording including triggering and splitting.
