VP6400 & VP7500 Platforms
VP6400 and VP7500 are powerful and robust hardware platforms designed specifically for use in vehicles. As a Smart Logger solution, they are the ideal complement for all CANape and vMeasure projects. As automotive PCs, they form a comprehensive vehicle solution with VN Interfaces and VX1000 modules, for example for ADAS and Ethernet logging.

Main Application Areas
Smart Logger Applications
When combined with CANape log or vMeasure log, the VP is a high-performance stand-alone Smart Logger. For configuration, a computer with CANape or vMeasure is required. Existing CANape projects can be downloaded to the VP in a quick and easy process. During actual logging, the configuration computer is no longer needed. For monitoring measurements, a browser-based UI for mobile devices is available. Individual measurement signals as well
as status information, such as the amount of remaining storage capacity, can be displayed in this user interface, too.

Automotive PC
As an Automotive PC, the VP offers full access to the computer so that your own applications can also be installed. The Automotive PC comes with Windows 10 IoT Enterprise tuned to the hardware. Easy support of other Vector hardware products is provided by pre-installed Vector drivers. Optionally, the system can also be ordered with pre-installed Vector tools such as CANape.
The latest generation of the VP features an embedded hypervisor, enabling you to run both Linux and Windows simultaneously.
Logging Extension
If demanding projects exceed the performance of a single Smart Logger or Automotive PC, VP can be added in the Logging Extension variant.
The Smart Logger or Automotive PC is then the head unit, which is expanded by data rate, CPU performance and memory capacity in conjunction with the Logging Extension. The Logging Extension is seamlessly integrated into the overall system, has no graphical user interface and is controlled by the software on the Head Unit.
