vInspect empowers aftersales teams to take component diagnostics to the next level. Designed specifically for service applications around vehicle components, it combines a modern diagnostic tester platform with the flexibility to adapt precisely to your processes, your teams, and your brand.

With its intuitive user interface, vInspect helps service technicians work faster, more confidently, and with a clear focus on the task at hand. Flexible dashboards and selectable widgets provide exactly the information and functions needed for each component – automatically aligned with the identified vehicle component and tailored to user roles and permissions.

The result is more than a diagnostic tester: vInspect is your adaptable, future-ready platform for professional component service in aftersales.

Advantages

Your service organizations benefit from the flexibility of vInspect as it manages the rights and roles of team members in a differentiated manner. By using your corporate colors and company logo, vInspect becomes your company's diagnostic tester.

  • Easy to customize: vInspect is a diagnostic tester that can be easily adapted to your company's corporate design.
  • Modern technology: Desktop application developed based on smart web technologies – easy to use for both online and offline operation.
  • Automatic component detection: Dashboards are automatically displayed to match the identified vehicle component.
  • Suitable for every team: Ideal for large and small teams, with differentiable rights and roles for each team member.
  • Quickly adaptable: Diagnostic data and configurations are easy to change – and can be easily distributed to all service organizations and users via the cloud.
  • Easy updates: Quickly and securely perform software updates for vehicle components.
  • Easy version control: Create versioned dashboards for different components and publish them for all team members.
  • Smart workflow: Easy configuration based on reused CANdela Diagnostic Descriptions (.cdd) and/or ODX packages (.pdx), which are typically created during development.
  • Use of available communication hardware: No additional costs for purchasing further communication hardware. Existing Vehicle Communication Interfaces (VCIs) based on D-PDU-API (ISO 22900-2) or Pass-Thru (SAE J2534) can be used.
  • Secure: Reduced possibility for misuse of software and data – usage is based on user identities.
  • Freely expandable: Development of individual widgets and integration of customer-specific backends on request.

Application Areas

vInspect is intended for manufacturers of vehicle components such as lighting systems, heaters, or pumps who require a modern, secure, and economical solution for diagnostics and service.

Target Groups and Users:

  • Companies that want to replace their existing service testers with a readily available and cost-effective platform solution – without the risks and effort of a complete redevelopment.
  • Manufacturers looking for a customizable diagnostic solution that allows them to respond flexibly to different requirements while mastering new technological challenges.
  • Organizations with a rapidly growing number of users in the medium term that need a robust and secure solution which can be easily integrated into existing processes.
  • Technicians in service and technical support who need a user-friendly interface for fast and reliable fault diagnostics.

Key Features

Modern Service Tester

High degree of customization of the user interface in line with corporate design (colors, logos, etc.). Configuration adjustments can be made by the customer themselves.

Configuration and Data Management

vInspect is configured via an administration interface. This configuration is automatically synchronized with the user interface for the workshop/service technicians via a backend.

Reuse of Diagnostic Data

Configuration is based on reused CANdela Diagnostic Descriptions (.cdd) and/or ODX packages (.pdx).

Integration into Business Systems

The integration of identity providers based on OpenID Connect (OIDC) allows customers to control which end users are allowed to use the tester and with which rights and roles.

Reuse of Communication Hardware

The connection to the ECU(s) is established via a D-PDU API or Pass-Thru-compliant interface. Existing or new hardware from independent suppliers can be easily reused. Connection to proprietary hardware is also possible on request.

Flexibility Through Individual Configurations

The dashboard/widget concept allows users to easily arrange widgets on one or more dashboards without having to change the code. This makes it easy to create ECU- or system-specific views for fault memories, identification data, or measurement data.

Configuration and selection of dashboards is done automatically based on user rights and/or user roles as well as identification patterns based on the ECU data of the currently connected ECUs.
