The VX0312 is an Ethernet / BroadR‑Reach USB adapter with integrated CAN FD connection, developed to meet automotive requirements.
XCP on Ethernet or XCP on BroadR‑Reach devices can be connected quickly and reliably to a computer running measurement and calibration software.
Highlights
- Ethernet and BroadR‑Reach via one connector: Features automatic detection between standard Ethernet (100/1000 Mbit) and BroadR‑Reach (100 Mbit) using a single RJ45 port.
- Additional CAN FD access: An integrated high‑speed CAN channel with ISO CAN FD capability significantly extends communication options.
- Flexible tool integration: Windows NDIS driver enables use as a standard network adapter, alternatively XL‑Driver support for Vector and third‑party tools.
- Compact and rugged: Engineered with a rugged aluminum housing, USB power supply and wide temperature range suited for automotive and industrial environments.
- Diagnostics and DoIP ready: provides a hardware diagnostic interface for CAN, Ethernet and DoIP with a suitable connector for vehicle access.
Functions
- Precise time synchronization between CAN and Ethernet messages.
- XL‑Driver support for integration into third‑party products and use of XCP on Ethernet or XCP on BroadR‑Reach in CANape without changes to Windows network or firewall settings.
- Windows network driver (NDIS) for operating the Ethernet / BroadR-Reachinterface as a regular network adapter for tools without XL-Driver support.
- DoIP Activation Line as an alternative assignment on the CAN connector.
Diagnostics & ECU Flashing
For diagnostic and flashing use cases, the VX0312 interface, when aired with the OBD cable DoIP/CAN B1, serves as a Vehicle Communication Interface (VCI).
In addition, Indigo and vFlash provide powerful software toolset for vehicle diagnostics and ECU flashing via CAN and DoIP.
Advantages:
- One hardware diagnostic interface for Ethernet and DoIP with a fitting connector for vehicle access.
- Compact design for field testing and mobile applications with rugged aluminum housing.
- Easy configuration for diagnostics using Vector Hardware Configuration.
- Optimal price‑performance ratio.
