ODX - Open Diagnostic eXchange Format
Since 2001, Vector is contributing to define the ODX standard in ASAM and ISO working committees. ODX was in 2008 released officially as ISO 22901-1. As a result, vehicle manufacturers and suppliers integrated ODX into their development processes. It became apparent that the flexibility of the ODX standard led to different ODX dialects in practice. Vector strives to meet the challenge of supporting these ODX dialects in all phases of the diagnostic process.

ODX - A Brief Introduction
The Open Diagnostic eXchange format (ODX) is an XML-based ASAM standard for describing diagnostically relevant ECU data.
Vehicle, ECU and tester manufacturers can use the uniform, OEM-independent ODX format to describe and exchange ECU diagnostic data. ODX was designed to be an open exchange format, and is a good choice for use in joint projects between automotive OEMs.

It became clear that creating ODX data without the appropriate tools requires comprehensive and detailed knowledge. Therefore, it is essential to have a comprehensive ODX toolchain in use.

CANdelaStudio
CANdelaStudio offers the user a diagnostic-oriented view of the data. Special know-how about the underlying data format is not necessary. ODX is generated on demand. Today, the generation approach is widely used, because it guarantees not only the efficiency of data generation, but also the high quality needed for the use of the data. CANdelaStudio as a diagnostic specification tool also contains the information needed for configuration or validation of the ECU software. In addition to ODX, AUTOSAR-DEXT files can therefore also be generated at the push of a button.
ODXStudio
ODXStudio, allows the user to operate with the full flexibility of the ODX standard. All data constellations allowed in ODX can be created and edited. The tool is therefore ideally suited not only for use in the creation of flash containers, but also for use in troubleshooting or in the early phases of process design.
