vMeasure

Reliably Solving Complex Measurement Tasks

vMeasure is a flexible measurement software solution for laboratory use, test benches, test drives and endurance tests. It enables time‑synchronous acquisition of physical values, ECU‑internal signals and data transmitted via vehicle buses. Position and video data are also integrated to ensure meaningful interpretation of the recorded measurement data.

Highlights

  • Time‑synchronous data acquisition: Capture ECU, bus, video, GPS and physical measurement data with precise time correlation.
  • Calculations during measurement: Perform complex calculations online and assess measurement results at an early stage.
  • eMobility function library: Use predefined eMobility functions without requiring programming or scripting skills.
  • Multi‑recorder concept: Store measurement data flexibly per signal to focus measurements efficiently.
  • Easy configuration of analog measurement technology: Configure the VIO System and CSM analog measurement technology directly from within the tool.

Functions

Configuring the measurement

  • Intuitive configuration of signal sources to be recorded and of the bus systems to be connected
  • Full integration of the VIO system in mixed hardware setups, combining the VIO system, VX1000 and VN interfaces in a single enclosure
  • Creation of formulas for virtual signals via a graphic interface, with functions from the function library, with MATLAB / Simulink, C-DLL or custom functions
  •  A wide range of visualisation options to make the most of the measured data

Measuring

  • Simultaneous measurement of physical values, ECU signals and bus systems, including environmental recording using camera and position data
  • Storage of measurement data in the standardized ASAM MDF4 format, even for file sizes exceeding 4 GB
  • Automatic upload of recorded measurement data to the vMDM cloud after measurement completion
  • Live view of measurement values even without an active measurement to check wiring and sensors during configuration

Measurement data analysis and documentation

  • Manual investigation of signal traces using zoom, search functions and measurement cursors
  • Insertion of comments for offline analysis
  • Export of measurement data sequences with synchronized video cutting
  • Data export to ASCII, Excel and MATLAB
  • Insertion of window content or complete display pages into Word and PowerPoint via drag & drop

Powerful and flexible e-mobility measurement solution from CSM and Vector

Highlights of Version 10

  • Transparent CAN trace analysis: Analyze CAN data streams directly in the trace window and store them flexibly as BLF files or embedded in MF4 files.
  • Maximum measurement precision: Capture signals with sampling rates below 100 µs (VIO System), provided the selected I/O cards support fast sampling.
  • Faster measurement startup: Significantly reduce startup time by using a parallelized device connection.

eMobilityAnalyzer Function Library

The eMobilityAnalyzer function library is the core of scalable measurement solutions in the high-voltage environment. The voltage and current signals acquired by CSM measurement modules with a sampling rate in the MHz area are converted online into the relevant parameters of the drive, the HV components or the vehicle electrical system.
