The next generation Ethernet interfaces support analysis, simulation, testing and validation of Automotive Ethernet networks.
They are suitable for a wide range of in‑vehicle and laboratory use cases, from compact setups to high‑performance test environments.

  • Flexible test setups: Freely configurable interconnection of Automotive Ethernet ports enables analysis, test and simulation configurations.
  • Expandable systems: Combination of multiple interfaces and alternative PC connections via USB or Ethernet enables scalable test setups with higher port counts and time‑synchronous integration using IEEE 1588 PTP.
  • Extensive Ethernet packet filters: Port‑based access and extensive packet filters reduce PC load by processing only relevant Ethernet packets.
  • Configurable topologies: Simple and complex network topologies can be mapped on the interface across one or multiple networks and interfaces. 
  • Central configuration: All interfaces are centrally managed and configured using the Vector Hardware Manager with graphical topology visualization.

The VN5620A is a compact and powerful interface for analyzing, simulating, testing and validating Ethernet networks. It supports synchronized Ethernet monitoring together with other bus systems and connects to a host PC via USB 3.0 or 1000BASE T Ethernet.

The VN5240 is designed for monitoring and analyzing Ethernet networks. Combined with the VP6400 Smart Logging Platform, it is ideal for logging Ethernet communication in vehicles using the CMP logging format.

VN5611/VN5612

The VN5611 and VN5612 are compact interfaces for Automotive Ethernet IEEE 100BASE T1/1000BASE T1 and Standard Ethernet IEEE 100BASE TX/1000BASE T. They are used for analysis, simulation and testing and are well suited for mobile use due to their compact design. The VN5611 additionally supports sleep/wake mechanisms according to OPEN Alliance TC10.
